how 'bout them Cowboys!

THE Dallas Cowboys vs. the Eagles....This was probably one of the best, if not the best, football game I have seen in a very long time. I knew it was going to be action packed but DAMN. These two teams had over 50 points in the first half and ended up with 78 total. I watched most of it at home and the rest at work. I'm glad I am the only one there at night cause I was yelling about something every two minutes.

Once again, Romo and Barber pushed me well ahead of my week 2 fantasy football opponent. I am now 2-0. First time must be a charm. I won this week with 125 points. My 'optimal' line up could have gotten me approximately 160 points, so I have to start making better decisions....

The Rebs are 2-1 now after beating SAMFORD (not UAB, that was UT) on saturday. Their first conference matchup is Saturday vs. Vanderbilt. Maybe they can pull it off?? And don't forget, Tennesse vs. Florida this Saturday!

Erin and I went to Jackson(TN) on saturday to do some shopping....what a mistake. I needed some jeans and it took me four hours to find some that didnt come with holes, rips, or stains already on them. Once I finally found them I didnt even feel like looking at anything else. Watched football the entire remainder of the weekend...

more to come later in the week....

volkswagen, old spice, and at&t....

Weird title huh? Those are just what I believe to be the funniest commercials in the land right now. The old spice commercial with Brian Urlacher.....priceless. The new volkswagen van and at&t wireless internet commercials come in a close second.

ANYWAYS, I am torn between Joe Flacco and Derek Anderson for week 2. Romo is my constant but I need to pick his running mate.....any opinions?? I have to mention the Jessica Simpson fiasco....yes I called it a fiasco. I am a firm believer in Karma and what she said about the game is kind of got me spooked. But at the same time, Rita (my mom) had a good point, you have to have a brain to be able to jinx something. GO COWBOYS!

I have to go mow the damn yard....More to come later today......Maybe.

Well, its later....I had an opportunity to watch a majority of the History Channel special on the events of Sept. the 11th. I can still remember EXACTLY where I was when I first found out about the attack. I ended up in an A/V room at my high school watching it with some of my other friends. As an 'adult', I am supposed to have grounded and educated views/opinions of what happened that day, but every time I watch it I am filled with so much anger it's kind of scary. It's the type of anger that almost takes you to the point of dropping everything in your life and running out to join the armed forces just so you can destroy something. Watching the special was the type of thing that not only keeps you completely silent but also empties every thought from your head at the same time. Anyways....God bless the men and women who gave their lifes that day to save others and God bless the people that lost either a friend or family member to that senseless act of terror....

brady AND young? what a weekend...

I am sure there were alot of fantasy footballers and die-hard fans that shed a few tears this weekend. If you were on Mars, Tom Brady is out with a season-ending knee injury. I have just learned however, that Vince Young's x-rays came back negative. Good for him.

I won my Week 1 match-up in fantasy football. I've never played fantasy ball before, so I'm pretty proud of my selections. As I mentioned earlier, I went with my heart and have four players from the Cowboys and their defense. I guess I will be screwed in Week 10 (bye week).

I have yet to mention my Ole Miss Rebels. They dominated in week 1 against Memphis and played their hearts out against a top 25 wake forrest team to only lose by a last minute field goal. Things are looking up from last year when we could hardly win a game.

Erin and I went to Tunica this past weekend. We started playing at about 7pm and played until about 3:30am. I lost about $50 but we probably drank about $100
in free drinks and ate the buffet. So I came out ahead if you ask me....

More to come...

hell, why not?

well, i've finally gotten bored enough here at home to start a blog...
my job is bank processing every night from about 5 to 1 and i'm generally alone all day, except for an hour or two. it blows...
my life is currently consumed by football(ncaa/nfl), my fantasy team, and my gf. a picture of the best QB in the NFL can be seen here...
i won my first week of fantasy ball with a score of 115. i'm hoping to put up a little more next week considering i accidentally left a WR spot empty this week...tony romo aka god and marion barber did very well for me this week and will hopefully continue too.
more to come later...
